heres an example of one of the flaws in FM's search function.

In search, type: timing ef xr6 <--- u get 198 pages
Then search for all terms and it finds nothing. Finding all terms entered is almost impossible, thats why people don't use search.

Another example: type in: BA exhaust <--- you end up with 141 pages
now click search for all terms: "couldn't find any matches"

Somethings definately not right here (i'm not giving s**t to the site mod, just pointing out a fairly important issue of the search function.)

Because the EF has completely computer controlled ignition (no distributor). To advance the timing you need to retune the EEC.

shifting the position of the crank angle sensor would work :)

Yeah - if space allows, why not make a sliding bracket, or even one thats motorised to do advance on the go?

crank angle sensor can only go in one way, you cant stuff it up, unless you grind the tab off it.

as the sticker says, "not adjustable"

i wish timing on an ef was that easy.

you can change it if you shift the position! also, when checking timing, make sure youve bridged the two wires under the dash so that it goes into base timing mode. Only lasts for around two minutes before you have to do it again
