ANy higher than 3000 and the Auto goes into limphome mode, You have been warned. Changing to a 2700rpm Stall gave me 2 tenths on the quarter and 3 MPH top end. But i did need street slicks for it to wark properly

Need to convince the ECU that you have some road speed to go with all those revs.
Jake (of Jakes Performance here in Canberra) runs a turbo'd EB with hi-stall, and it used to fail over into limp mode as even with only a 2400rpm stally it's flare up to well over that. He's got some electronic gizmo that tricks the ECU by giving it a false speedo reading, so the ECU doesn't trigger limp mode. It's attached to a switch so it can be turned off (normal operation) for daily driving.

cost of high stall $500 - 1000 mine is $650
it cost about $850-950 to have a $650 hi stall fitted thats stall, oil, labour, so arond $900 but it's best to get a large oil cooler as well add bout $200 fitted oil coolers range from $ 70 - $200

O.K. Cool.
So, the point to a high stall is to get a better launch from stanstill right? So, wouldn't you be better off with a manual conversion with a 3.45 final drive? OR stick with the auto, and just grab a 3.45? |

A high stall will help when you have big cams and stop you from bogging down off the line. You are still better of getting a manual as they have better gear ratios for performance.
