Get the spark plug, cut off the ground strap. Smash off the ceramic end then cut back the rolled metal part so you can get all of the ceramic guts out. Tap a BSPT thread into the casing. Screw in the nitto style male air fitting with a bit of thread snot, DONE.

NO WELDING REQUIRED.

A google search would have told you this in 5 minutes.

Other than that Repco or any decent auto parts store will sell the actual fitting.

Make sure the motor is at TDC or BDC when pressurising or it will spin over. This can be dangerous if a breaker bar, etc is attached to the crank hub nut.

My dad is handy with a arc stick, but doesn't have access to a oxy set (bit of a bugger, could make some interesting explosives for our camping trip).

Also a tap and die set might be hard to find.

slightly off topic, but when the rope trick method is used, how do you tell when say cylinder 5 is at tdc? i know that cylinder 1 is at tdc when the balancer marks line up with the timing cover marks, but how do you tell on another piston?

for number five you look down the plug hole of number 2. when 2 is up so is 5. same for 1 and 6, 3 and 4

The head might have to come off it soon. When I buy this house i'm looking at and concrete the floor, then I might strip the head off.
