Hi All,

Just wondering if any special tools are needed to change the fuel pressure regulator on an EF 6cyl.

From what I can see, there's 2 small bolts attaching it to the fuel rail, 1 bolt to undo to release it from the fuel return line underneath it, and the vacuum line on top which should just pull off with a bit of force..

Anything else I should know? I've already got the top half of the BBM off and the fuel rail half unbolted.

Cheers

It would proably be easier to get under the car and pop the hose off the solid metal return line and remove the whole rail to remove the reg.

The rail and reg arent very strong and if held in the wrong places you can twist things that should be twisted. Plus you obviously get a ton more room to handle it.

Cheers for the answers. I think that might be the way to go arm, I had a quick go at it last night from the top and it's going to be near impossible to get at the bottom nut with 2 spanners (one holding the reg and the other undoing the nut on the hose) from above, not enough room.

Thanks again.
