the reason most leads turn white is heat, as most aftermarket leads don't come with heat shields, the black round bit of plastic cable tied to the leads like motorcraft ones.
easy to over come just buy a pack of heat shields, abt $5, and put them on your leads where ever they may be touching the engine or other heat source, you can bunch your leads up i.e. 123 and 456 etc.

Yeah i just found that out a couple of days ago lol, all of my leads are bunched together very untidy and they touch the rocker cover too. I wouldnt expect any set of leads to last with that kind of heat being forced onto them.
Should be good once i get my TOP GUN spiral cores thou. hopefully the guy workin on my car can install 10mm leads for me too.

LOL i know everyone says 10mm leads are overkill
I just want some fatass looking leads thats all.. 
Most people reccomend 8mm or 9mm leads

just put on some 9mm eagles eliminater series nice looking colour blue too.
goes great and looks awesome under bonnet

Yeah they are good leads if taken care of, dont let the heat get to em.. Reason that mechanics say dont get 10mm leads is because they are a b**ch to install im guessin.
 Even 9mm would be a bit tricky sometimes lol im not sure thou... never installed leads before

as if there isnt some sort of power drain, or something, there is a lot of diffrence between 8mm and 10.5mm.
also whats the going price for a set?

Hmm leads that big can cost anywhere between $80-$140 i belive, depends on brand also.

went to find out a price on the eagle leads today from autobahn, they are about $75 a set for 8.5mm. also they guy made a point of asking if they are for a race car and informing me that these leads are stickly for track use only, he made it sound like i could get defected for them??
