mate i am no expert however the engine is more or less the same apart from some internals.
once you bolt on your manifolds & accessories you should have really good power (much better than the 156kw e-gas). Get the car tuned by a tuner as well. |

The petrol motors from the BF's used the same internals from the egas motors incase you didn't know. Haven't heard of any turbo cranks but I think they come with the flat top pistons, higher comp and perhaps better rods.

wont be to friendly without a flash tune, untuned with compression that high will give you detonation/pinning even on premium...

JMM in Tottenham had got the VCT engine to produce 143RWKW from memory after the mods. I think he said stock is about the 105RWKW (from memory). The injected gas wasnt as powerful when compared to PULP but it was only very marginal. Both fuels worked a treat with never any backfiring & issues like the old mixer & ring setups that i previously owned/used. FYI: The above figures were highway (Melb - Adel & vice versa) & not city driving. |

i have an 80L tank from memory. 60 odd litres of usable LPG.
you should be able to get way better milage out of a BA sedan when compared to an AU Fairlane. |

Just to let you know i also had my system purchased from BOEMO but it was installed by someone else (Rightway Motors in Sunshine 3020 on Fairbairn Rd - Charlie is his name). BOEMO are quite good. They're one of Melbourne's leading LPG installers & have been around for quite sometime. Anyhow the tuning of the LPG ECU will only be efficient once you tune your cars main ECU. The tuning of the LPG ECU is quite easy & even you could do it. I've tuned my LPG ECU manier times & all you need is the software (easyJet) & a USB cable that connects to the LPG ECU. if you can hold your foot steady on the accelerator for around 4 - 5 minutes keeping the revs @ 3000RPM's & also be able at the same time turn the A/C on & off as well as the headlights then trust me you can tune the LPG ECU.
that's all is needed to be done to tune it It's piss easy bud. Also which size LPG injectors do you have? |
