Ford might do it in 10 years if we are lucky.
im agreeing wiith you i think what you say is right

I guess thats why Isaac Newton is classed as a smart f**k. Torque = the amount of effort it takes to have a wank Power = the end result after all that stroking* *Stroking in this case = rpm Cop That hahaha thats an excellent example HAHAHA im nilly wetting my pants hahaha (im not taking the piss out of you ) its really hard to tell if people are bull s**t or not but thats funny

tickford_6: Your arguing my point... dont confuse yourself... The equation relates to a 1:1 driveline ratio with 0% loss.
Throw into the equation weight and gearing then its a completely different storey.

so i proves the original point does not matter if peak power or torque occurs its were it is most usefull in the rev range and it also proves that yobbos car in fact does not have a low mph compared to a "TRUE 148 KW " motor is that yobbo must launch later and pick up the time later down the strip where TRUE 148 kw car lacks its power, WELL done yobbo i want one of these cams

Example...
*Both vehicles weigh the same, both driven by the same person, and both have the same gear ratios, torque and power figures are rear wheel, both engines are 100% efficient* Car A: I6 producing 500hp at 5000rpm, redline 7000rpm Car B: V8 producing 500hp at 5000rpm, redline 5500rpm which car crosses the quarter mile first, and why?

Both at the same time.Because peak power and torque are the same. The redline is irrelevent because of these facts.

2 identical cars with the same everything and one is v8 and one is a six will cross the line at the same time.We are talkng power and torque

useless has it right, but assuming that redline is somewhat of an indication of how much further the I6 and v8 could rev for while still making useful torque then the i6 will win.

No there not, Ive given figures saying that each one at the same rpm produces the same HP, whos to say that the I6 doesnt go on to make another 200hp whilst the V8 is going to drop off to 400hp at redline?
HP is a mathematical calculation... It is meaningless... The engine capacity, its torque curve, the engines efficiency, the ratios, the convertor, the weight etc etc... It all plays a role on the street...
