If the 302 is quicker then my LS1, then it wont matter who drives. If its quicker its quicker full stop. The guy driving the little 302 may be an experienced campaigner, im not, so lets even up the score.

It wont come down to the driver but the car like it should

you must be dumber than i thaught ov corse it comes down to driver ability thats why you were gona get your mate to race for ya cos you know ya ls1 heap of s**t wont stand a chance againts 400m experince even if you got more grunt and to make it fair let me go to the states and grab me a 4.6ltr from a stang and then it will be fair. fuking comodore people gota relise that they running crate motors from the u.s. and it is not a good old aussie 5ltr you might aswell buy a corvet and not a wana be vet

The Old XY has done its dash. It was a formidable performance car (its day) but just like Madonna, its looking a little shabby now.

Who am I racing here, first Im seeing EF Fairmont 302 then a XY.

How bout i just flog the lot of ya. Just all come down Ill run 12s all night and leave you all getting sick n tired of my rear bumper. Ill put a nice big sticker on the rear window for you guys to read.

Seriously guys im happy to beat you guys but my question was around torque management, you guys shifted it to LS1. I know its the benchmark in performance but its a talk for another thread.

Instead of slinging insults around, why not attend to the Torque managment question. If not for my beneifit then for the benefit of other readers that are interested in the answer.

Why are many of you so one sided. Its really crazy talk.

E-Series don't have torque management of the kind you are referring too, the question was answered by Walkinshaw and others.

Now, when are you going to drag the terrorist?

What car is the "terrorist"? Im happy for a bumper crowd to attend and blast him out of the water.

big deal your ls1 runs 12's theres heeps of them running 11's and 10's so what makes urs so special. there's also 0plenty of fords running well into the 12's. i think when u line up against some of these ford v8's at the drags youll get a rude shock.

EB V8, just name a date for WSID, and I reckon you'll have half the Syndey members of FM there to drag/watch.
f**k, if I have a car and can grab some time off work, I'd even drive up to watch that s**t.
