Hi, when i did the adjusting nuts up on my Rollmaster vernier gear i did them up pretty tight cause i was worried the cam gear might slip, also put meduim strenght loctite on the threads
But im afraid ive done them up too tight as the washers have bent into a U shape sinking into the hole. Now am looking for new nuts and washers and just wanna know a good torque setting for these? Also, if anyone knows where to buy the washers, or even what to use instead as i assume you cant just use any washer? |

No, its not hard, the only hard bit is after pulling out the middle plug in the tensioner, make sure you pressing on the outside bit of the sleeve when turning to release the tensioner or you'll have to pull out the whole tensioner and piece it together which isnt really hard, but more time spent than you really have to.

I'm not sure but I would say about 30-40Nm like the cam sprocket, but that's just a wild guess...it might just be a bit less. I doubt it has to be any more then that...and maybe use some medium strength thread lock. phong =P~

thats what i think i did it up to, cause the washers are bent.
i tried googling, and other brands like HKS recommend around 20nm, then another brand only recommend 10nm? Will prolly ring Romac the supplier on Monday |
