I tried the BP equivalent and my car ran like s**t. But that wont stop me from trying the optimax extreem(whenever the f**k it gets out here). Hey bp ultimate makes my car run bad but shell optimax doesnt so its a hit and miss i guess. With all the different setups and conditions peoples cars are in of course its going to make some run worse and some run better.Thats my opinion anyway.

fuel economy may have improved by about 5%. Besides that no change in performance and the idle isn't as smooth as normal. Back to regular unleaded for this EL!

i thought ethonol was being introduced to try to help with the rising price of world oil and cheapen the price of fuel but the fuel companies have their marketing departments working overtime and now we buy fuel diluted with ethanol at a higher price than normal.

i'm waiting for richard branson to bring out virgin fuel...

Ethanol, in small contentrations, is actually an octane booster and reduces build-up of crud in manifolds and on valves etc. Im stuck as to how fuel can ruin ur bearings, probly the overflow from the Flux Capacitor :D

My old man has been running 98 Ethanol in his 1964 Mini and has been using a upper cylinder lube and we had taken off the manifold to change it for another with a bigger car and it iwas spotless not a mark in the manifold and the intake ports clean also. So yes it does keep the valves and ports clean. By the way it is the best it has ever run using it.
