Ok lm new to this sight an l own a el thats being turned into a xr6 by feb intime for the lil womans 40th an lm having 1 hell of a problem fitting a trip meter into the car,lve read the section on how to fit it and the wires in mine are diff as you will see in the pics, But the prob is my wires are (pin 1 just did for trip to pin 14 0n cluster)
Pin 2 Red,Pin 3 Yellow,Pin 4 Blk,Pin 5 white

now on the instructions lve read for the installing of trip meter the wires are
Pin 1 trip to pin 14 on dash (done it ) Pin 2 white cut if fitting trip meter(mine is red a form of power?)
Pins 3,4,5 are the same as mine but l do not have PIN 6 brown with grey bands park lamps Pin 7 Drk Blue /Red stripe an grey bands
Ok now where do l hook Pins 6 an 7 in an what the hell do l do with Pin 2 on mine as it is Red an it clearly shows in 1st pic no wire in pin 2 an yet it states white cut if fitting trip meter.
This is doin my head in as l dont wana fry anything at all an if somebody can help with a diagram or something it would be reallly great as l need to hook the wires the correct way an lve done pin 1 already but the rest is just a night mare

You 'had' standard clock wiring.


1: why is the red/green still in Pin2?
2: where is your parkers wire?

l dont know if pin 2 is a power wire as it says white cut if fitting trip an parkers wire not sure on what color that 1 is, where do l put pin wire red/green too then as l did pin 1 to pin 14 on cluster harness on the right side. just dont know what color wires are to go in the othe 2 spots
