I'm looking at building up a motor for my Ef falcon and not sure whether I wanna do a turbo or supercharged 4ltr or stroke a 5ltr. Which way would I be better off going? Which motor will I get more power out of?

Deff turbo 6 not overly expensive (not cheap) and not that hard to do either plus u get that amazing feeling when u drop the revs and the blow off makes any chicks lookin wet lol

if you were doing an 8 youd need an aftermarket block, i have seen a picture on here somewhere of a 302 block cracked, turbo 6 would definatly be bang for buck, you can throw a set of low compression aftermarket pistons on standard e series rods and thatl keep you going ok for a while or you can get an au block, stick some decent rods and pistons in it and thatl be even better, it all depends what power you want and how reliable the car needs to be.

Why not save your money and get a BA XR6T?

can't answer unless we know what kind of power you want and what kinda dollars you're willing to spend.
Turbo 8's are awesome... best of both worlds, but anything over 300rwkw gets real expensive.

I already have an Au s1 motor sitting here that I was planning on turboing but Love the sound of a v8, only thing bout the 8s is iv heard it a few times that the blocks split. I want it to be fairly reliable but doesn't have to be an everyday driver. Iv got 8k to put towards a motor but will not be building it straight away so there's plenty of time to save up move funds

the typical windsor will do 300rwkw without splitting the block.
hence my point about what kind of power you're chasing. most turbo 6's never go beyond the mid 200rwkw's due to drive line requirements, so the fact that they are 'capable' of 500rwkw only matters if you're chasing that much.

turbo 6 will be faster
but the push in the back from a snarling naturally aspirated V8 cant be replicated |

With 8k i would be going for a 6. I hope you can do alot of the work yourself because 8k wont get you very far. What power are you looking at making? Auto or Manaul?
