Yeah if you had the damn car it would scream, havent seen it for like 4 months.
Theres a guy with a BA XT (FAT-51X on the forums) has the dual pipes, ie one out either side of the rear bumper like the new GT's.

Interesting pic RFG - under the diff though - surely regardless of stock ride height, it would be illegal ?
I presume the system is a custom number ? Is it mild or stainless ? Were the mufflers expensive ? Sorry for all the Qs Last edited by dcstraight on Thu Aug 03, 2006 7:18 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

dcstraight the car is 2inches lower than stock height and the bottom of the muffler is 107 mm off the ground on flat ground lol...mind u dont b silly and the chances of ne1 knowing a reduced
i only hav 1 muffler and a cat the cat is 3 inch its a magna flow muffler which is almost empty inside price was $650 but i got it for $270 of a good mechanic friend of myn the muffler is stainless but the pipes arnt....they'll all b getting painted black when i get it back so it looks a bit neater |

I've heard that to be legal the pipe(s) must end no less than 300mm after the last openable window. I think they can end underneath the vehicle too. I did this to my traytop ute some time ago and it passed pink slip. Taking out pipe made it a lot noisier though, i didn't think it would make much difference but it did.

if thats the case then shouldnt all utes\sedans and wagons run sidepipes or truckstacks?(for the utes)

and whats your reasoning? take a look at the EL in your sig, its probably 2-3 feet from your back passenger window to the tip of your bumper where the exhaust terminates. last I checked thats a heck of a lot more than 300mm. diff dumpers are frowned upon by the hoppers coz emissions can pass into the cabin, unless you underseal the car properly you could be taking in gasses. anyone here with diff dumps notice any extra smell? not that CO2 smells or anything but any odd smells at all when it first got done?

i did some research on this topic most mechanics and exhaust guys won't touch it cause the fuel tank would be too close to the 2nd exhaust the reason the BAs have it is cause their fuel tank is under the back seat unless someone has found a way to get around it id be interested to know
