I know it's overkill having twin's on a 4.0L but I only want them pretty much for cosmetic reasons. Anyone actually but twin's ona 4.0L. Can anyone forsee any dramas with having twin pipes or not.
Would look trick on my EF though. Thanks for the idea Chef  :D

it wouldn't exactly be over kill if you size the pipe properly.

if i recall right the early XR6 or at least the brock falcons had a twin exhaust.

get some pace maker 4499 and cut the last collector off and run a pair of 2 inch pipes back.

the problem i see is fitting 2 cats under one side of the car.
you could run the second pipe to the other side but that would make far longer and would have one half of your engine making different power.

if you were only thinking of a twin cat back i wouldn't bother. it'll cost twice as much as a single

Why not just put a fake tip on the other side?
I put a fake tip on my wagon (couse the exhaust dumps at the diff and I didn't want oFficer Plod pulling me over), it's not hard at all, and as you said it's only for cosmetics, so why pay so much more to go through all those hassles of making a full twin exhaust if you can just put a fake tip on the other side for cheap?

Just depends on whether you wanna spend that much extra to have em...Ive considered it even tho theres no performance gain....but they look wicked twins on both sides.....problem really is the damn fuel tank...there plenty of room to have a second pipe added and easily bent round to fit but i dunno what youd do with the fuel tank...may need a custom one...cause not even the EL GT used dual zorsts so dunno man id like to do it tho

if its just for cosmetics you can run a pipe along behind the bumper in front of the fuel tank, you just have to join tyhe pipe into the side of the tip and blank off the proper hole,my bosses son did it to his ef,really does look awesome

My el has duel exhaust either side of the car, but it dumps at the diff due to the fuel tank.

mate of mine had the same setup, just single exhaust, and it spilit off at the very end, right before the tip, a single pipe running accross the bumper for hte second outlet, it actually worked, but most of the exhaust gas came out the normal exhaust,
