no the msd module is electronic, it will do one plug multiple times VERY quickly to burn as much as possible.
gtbob, what was msd worth on the clevo, im thinking of upgrading soon.

MSD claims spark for 20degree of crank.
believe it or not there is power to be had with an MSD unit. i put a DIS-4 on my falcon and it droped i .2 or .3 of second at the drags |

you will find one of the main reasons a piston engine aircraft uses this system is for safety...if one magneto goes then you still can limp home on the other.

Multi pole spark plugs do not offer any more spark than a standard plug. The spark can only jump once and it takes the path of least resistance. Multi pole spark plugs should however last a bit longer and be more resistant to fouling.
