i got two new tyres about a month ago. Today when i went out to the car one of them was half deflated. I was having the same problem on the old tyre that was on the same rim. Would it be possible that the rim is damaged and letting air out? or is it more likely the tyre has a small puncture?
It jsut seems odd that im having the same problem with the new tyre on the same rim... |

maybe its not sealing around the edges of the rim, should take it back and get it checked where you bought the tyre from?

Does the outer part of the rim where the tyre sits inside look damaged?

It might actually be neither the rim or tyre. Might be the actual tyre valve if it wasn't replaced when the tyre was changed. Could be old and degrading causing bad seal inside the rim or the valve itself (which is removable) has died and the tyre fitter just reused the old one (may not have any physical sign of damage). Take it back to where you got it and tell them what happened, they should fix it for you free of charge unless it's a puncture.
