it depends on the weight of the car and compound of the tyre. what brand/type of tyre you running now?

go to a tyre shop that taxis use (generaly they would advertise ssecond hand tires in the local trader rag), take a spare pair of stockies with you and get some used tires put on them, only costs $50ish for tires with 80% tread, as buying new tyres for burnouts isnt the brightest idea. p.s. 50% left after a small burnout all depends on what you call a "small burnout" p.p.s in before oll the old people say burnouts are bad and that they kill small children and old ladies. |

hmm, you want some tyres that last long with burnouts included.
good luck with that, make sure you post here if you find any, cause i could sure use some magical tyres for my car.... (depending on price of course) |

The amount of tyre consumed also depends on how much power you put through them, and for how long. The hotter the tyre gets the faster it will wear.

Maybe install a small diesel tank with lines to drip diesel onto the tyres. That will reduce the friction and heat buildup, and therefore wear. I don't know if i'm being serious here or not. My apologies to anyone he kills. For the record i don't see any challenge in burnouts.

get a 44 gallon drum and sit your tyres in it fill with oil and leave it for a month or so. pull them out and leave in the sun for a while till they harden up and they might last for an extra rotation or two..
ps. REAL MEN SMOKE RUBBER!

Old school Firestone Wide Ovals........fry em, & fry em some more. The older guys on here would remember them, hopeless in the wet, good on hot dry days, and bulk burnouts.......LOL

Old tyres are harder and might last longer, and will spin easier. There might be a way to age them quicker, i can't remember what the process is, something to do with the rubber, maybe exposure to oxygen.

soak ya tires in diesel that should make em harder last a little longer if you want smoke a couple of mates reckon nankangs are the go. Go to a couple me tire shops an ask em what the hardest compound tire they have is go to big shops like bob jane an tirepower they would have a larger range. Then search the wreckers for the tires they recommend and buy em cheap from wreckers. I've found that 2 cheap 70 bucks each brand new ones can be nearly as cheap as some 80 percent second handies sorry for dribblin so much

Economy tyres are usually harder, and cheaper. Get some light truck tyres.

easy do burnouts only when your tyres are worn and need raplacing not when they are still good. But had a set of toyo transpath sw think that is what they were but lasted 20 000km in harsh conditions a couple of years ago.
