Yeah I've had my car serviced there. They are pretty good. They are all over Perth, heaps of Ultratunes.
Can do new car servicings that dont void warrantys and they are cheaper. I recommend bringing the oil you want to use in the car rather than paying for their oil. |

Good to hear !
Ive actually ust had a service, so oil is already changed n stuff, so i wont be getting that stuff done. Just a tune ! Going to let the guy know when i drop the car off that i always run at least PREMIUM, so they can tune the car for the higher octane fuel, hopefully shell be running like a treat when it comes back... Going to get them also to have a look at the auto tranny, as it seems the car shifts way to low down in the rev range.... |

they won't be able to 'tune' the car for premium, a tune with e series falcons consists of new plugs leads etc.

I always used them regularly for tuning my KC Ford Laser on the dyno tune. People who knew me know i didnt trust anyone with my laser. They used to get it running absoloutely perfect. I did find them to be a little expensive but for the customer service I was more than happy to pay it.

Heres a story for you....
Probably 2 years back A Current affair took an EL to ford and said make sure its perfect which ford did...then they asked Ford to put 1 faulty ignition lead on the car. Now the fun they took the car to 5 or 6 places for quotes, ultra tune being so good and honest gave them the highest price somthing like $600 for 1 ignition lead. Only to them that tiny little miss at idle meant new coil, cap, rotor, lead, module etc, the more honest mechanics quoted around $10 parts value and 30 mins labour total cost $50 dollars... love the big franchises, advertising keeps em in business not their quality. |

oh yeah just to mention most non performance mechanics dont like advancing the timing etc they set to factory specs that way they are not liable for any failures.

You can't 'tune' an ecu anyway. Timing and fuel is controlled by internal tables. All they do is check to see if its running right with an exhaust gas analyser.

Those ACA storys are pathetic and only tell one side of the story. In one case i've read about a follow up to, they are actually responsible for a man comitting suicide after them flaming his electronics business on national television. They went around electronics service technicians with a VCR that they had massively overloaded the fuse in. The only technician that did his job properly and concluded that their must be something seriously wrong with this piece of eqipment and replaced the mains transformer in it, charging nearly $200 (what parts are worth for consumer electronics), was dobbed in by them as a shoddy businessman. He lost all his business out of it and took the easy way out...
