Hello all,

Had a bit of trouble In the early hours of this morning. Freezing cold waiting for a tow truck at 3 am.

When I first went to drive the car started and drove, then started dying. Then It'd pick Its revs back up and go. This continued for about 200m and then It just shut off.

The car turns over, the lights work perfectly so I dont feel It's a flat battery. The smart lock light Isnt flashing, I have interior lights so It Isnt the fuse.
The fans are running constantly which Is a weird one.

Any help asap would be welcome.

Thanks guys.

Have you checked whether its a fuel issue or spark issue?

I would probably start by checking that the the crank angle sensor is working. otherwise check that the coils are plugged into the ecu

Pretty sure the coils are fine, how do you go about checking the crank angle sensor?

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong but i believe that you would back probe the connector on the sensor with a multimeter set to dc volts and see if theres any output from it

Are the fans running when the car is in KOEO? Is it a manual or Auto? If auto, is it stuck in LHM?

Sounds like it MAY be a failed EEC.
