I had the same problem a while back. Here's what i did.
Get a good single-hex impact socket (black) and tap it onto the head bolt to ensure it is all the way on. Get a good quality breaker bar and a length of heavy pipe. Firstly, try and tighten the bolt a tiny bit, and then just slowly increase the load on each bolt as you try to loosen it. Don't use a hammer to try and shock them loose, it will just ruin the head of the bolt. If the head is trash, you can apply heat to the bolt, bit it will ruin the head. Remember to loosen each bolt in the correct sequence or you may warp the head. Take your time, don't lose your patience and they will work loose eventually. Mine took almost two hours to get them all out.
Remember to replace the head bolts when refitting the head.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on. :D

Not a problem, mate. Glad to help a fellow Fordaphile. Hopefully this has been helpful to a few people. :D
