I'm sure some of the principles used on EFI throttle bodies can be used on carbs as well:
- cut away one side of the throttle shaft (the side with the head of the screws, not the threads) - shave about 30-40% of the remaining side of the shaft and round it off a bit - knife-edge the throttle butterflies (especially the leading edge); leave the edge that contacts the carb bore where it is, but file down the other side to create a knife-edge - flat on one side, angled on the other. - if you are looking for every poofteenth of gain, shorten the screws that now protrude into the airflow. A throttle body can gain about 8% airflow this way; a carb should be similar.

the vacumn brake booster doesn't work, and you might get check engine light on because long term fuel trim exceeds max value |
