How do I install a vacuum gauge? I connected the pipe through the firewall and its on a T-Piece but not sure where this should go?
Any help would be appreciated! |

Hey. Any vac line from the manifold will do the trick.
The hose going to the MAP sensor would be perfect.

You don't add to the length, you cut the hose and fit a t-peice in, ok, so maybe I lied, you add 5mm... but you could cut 5mm off the hose to compensate and therefor be the same overall length still |

5mm? are you mounting the vacuam guage in the engine bay?

I see your point Tara... but frankly i dont think the few cc of volume you are adding to this hose is going to have a material effect on the response time of the MAP sensor.
If you believe the reality to be otherwise then why not make an alternative suggestion? That's probably of more assistance to lukey than telling him what not to do.

I wouldnt be worried about MAP sensor lag.
I T'ed into the fuel reg vacuum line only because it was closer.

Vac gauges usually have a restrictor in the line to stop the needle getting too nervous. Put the restrictor close to the tee and it will null the effects of the extra pipework.
