I'm wanting to do mine, in body colour. So before I dump a fortune on a pot or spray pack of 'W6 Amaretto', how many people have NOT used high temp paint, and for how long?

Also, I'm not silly enough to do the job without taking off the cover, but do you need to drain the oil prior to removing, or just pull it off, cover the 'naked' engine.

Any hints/tips for an easy job.

The $3 dollar paint on mines looking fine, even with the turbo sitting next to it. Hi temp paint would be the go if your anal about it, but it doesnt look like an issue to me.

Trade secret...pfft

DATA MINE

Just take it off. You don't need to drain the oil. All the oil will be in the sump. You will need to get a new Rocker Cover Gasket tho for when you put it back on.
