Im gonna go full head job, till i get it blown...OH no he didnt lol nah i wanna get a spare AU head, then get it ported,oversize exhause valves, ect do i need reco and new springs for the job or will she hold as is(presuming it survives pressure and crack testing?)

Hi Gerard, Yes they fit straight up without any machining or special seals, etc. We have a specially wound inner that fits on top of the factory spring boss and also fits our retainer, so operates with the correct tensions but with a reduced installed height. The #306810- kit is designed for the AU and are $368.50 for the lot - dual springs and chrome moly retainers. Freight in an airbag is $19.80 and the kits are in stock for immediate shipment. Cheers, Brad That's the best news I've heard in a while. i wonder what sort of lift figures and boost pressures these puppies are rated at. The only reason why people running big HP forced induction motors went to E series heads on AU bottom ends is because of a lack of decent valve spring for the AU. This now allows the use of the better AU head if you want to port it. Hopefully in the not too distant future I'll be in a position where i can build a budget bench to test these things. |

i just got a 1645 AU cam in my au head and you do need the valve springs... it pushes the limit on the standard springs meant to be 50 thou clearance between coils at maximum lift but mine measured at something closer to 20 thou at least thats what the guy at the head shop told me
on another note you will not be disappointed with this cam its awesome

I got some crow double valve springs for an AU sitting right next to me, i think im gonna get the Atomic ones

Gezza, why? 125lb with chrome moly retainers is plenty good... they cost less than half of atomics |

Will work out cheaper to get the atomics
