personal choice,

I'd co Castrol over Valvoline. and Shell over Penrite.

each to their own.

That's kind of a worry, because I talked to my mechanic today and he said they used 15W40 Grade oil (Valvoline Pro-blend) for my Falcon AU.

The car has done 290,000kms though

Then the extra 10w would benefit.

Im a fan of the Shell stuff, Shell Helix Plus is a pretty good oil ive found.

Im using Shell Helix Plus 10w40 in my EF i6. With 220,000+kms on the clock and havent had any issues. Needed thinner oil to stop my lifters ticking like mad for a few minutes from start up.

Id say 15w50 or 60 would be ideal to use in the AU with that mileage.
