Valvoline Problend 15W40 vs Castrol GTX3 15W40 - which is the better?

i would probably go valvoline over castrol..
but i prefer penrite hpr 15. w15/60 |

personal choice,
I'd co Castrol over Valvoline. and Shell over Penrite. each to their own.

im running the 15/60 in an au engine with just over 100.000 kms on it..
i wouldnt say the oil is to thick... |

Im a fan of the Shell stuff, Shell Helix Plus is a pretty good oil ive found.
Im using Shell Helix Plus 10w40 in my EF i6. With 220,000+kms on the clock and havent had any issues. Needed thinner oil to stop my lifters ticking like mad for a few minutes from start up. Id say 15w50 or 60 would be ideal to use in the AU with that mileage. |

I'm with you on that one, I only use Helix Plus. 60 weight... pfft may as well slap in diff oil.
