977b i think would be a goer but for the vern gear sounds like each to their own if it makes a big diffrence then yes but how much they worth i saw a honda prelude one and it was 800  i aint paying that for what might give a bit more power

ive spoke to no one at wades ive based my choice of cam off other peoples results

if you are keen on the 977b, then i would recommend the following:

crow valve springs
high stall OR 3.7+ diff gears
chiptorque or unichip to sort out afr's

The vernier gear is the last thing you need to worry about for this cam.

according to joe at crescent motorsport 135 rwkw with exhaust, cam and intake is done easily. He told me that 145rwkw is possible but the reliabilty is a factor in that state of tune.

so 138 rwkw may not be as impossible as some may think.

way too much negativity around here some days. Is it a case of "you've got it and I havn't "envy?

vern gear for a falcon is $180 from crow cams. its the best thing to do when putting in a larger cam without a doubt, yes even wades dude.

I rebuilt a EL XR6, with a CMS stg II cam and a mild clean of the ports, we got 138kw @ the treads. Only other mods were extractors and exhaust.

with the 1673 i made 143rwk with 5 speed extractors and a k&n filter also 430 nm of torque power is achievable much so with just cam and exhaust. Im either looking at theh cms stage 3 or 977.

I would be good to compare 2 rides of the same drive train just different cams eg, were power comes in, idle, torque etc.....
