What the title says, im either getting a 1636 or going the lot and getting 977b this week with better springs,
Anyone recommend anything like this or anything else?

I reckon the 977b is like the JMM DEV3HL only the dev 3hl has more lift. Well it does on my AU version anywway

If its a regrind (which I think it is) it would be about the $122 mark.

I bought a wade 1636 the other day, exchange, $122 plus freight.

Got the specs right here:

In: Duration@050: 206 Valve Lift: 0.496
Ex: Duration@050: 198 Valve Lift: 0.484
Phase <) 113

Looks like the 997b is a similar grind to the 1636, just with extra lift.

1521a wont work with stock ecu. its 217@50 on a 114LSA.

so the 977b will be the best bet? i know it needs springs but can run with stock ecu?

Hmm im not willing to put springs on atm as it means head off and i dont wanna rip the head off until i can afford the shaving and a bit of porting too, for now i have decided on getting the 1636 and just sell it when i do headwork and get a better cam then when i have the springs installed....
