Just a quick one for the all those who have installed Wades new profile. There were mixed reports for a couple of people, just wondering how things are now going, after driving em for a little while.
Happy with them? Do you need to upgrade valve springs or fit variable cam gears for this profile? |

On Friday I take my I6 in on the dyno with the 1636 profile, I am still happy with it, just found I need more air so I put a Pod directly on the TB and another good improvement. You really find out how choked the I6 really is.
I have never seen the need for a valve spring upgrade, no probs at all, I dunno about variable cam gear, but the profile is a regrind of the original so Why ??, same goes for the valve spring issue.

No need for valve springs, as you're still only looking around .500" valve lift, which isn't far off stock figures

will this 1636 grind run on standard computer?

thats good to hear i just thought with the specs the comp might not like but is good to hear that dont need to upgrade ecu cant afford at moment thanx cheif..

i put double valve springs in my head (got them cheap thought might as well) be intresting to see if it makes any difference i doubt it will at all, i just got em so i can run a big a** cam later on with and aftermarket ecu |
