Nothing wrong with castrol magnatec 10w/40. I use this oil and today its 37C ambient temp with the a/c on at idle my oil pressure is sitting 3/4 on the oil pressure gauge. Engines done 177000km. Oil and filter were changed at 172000km.

have just found that the car seems to run nicely after a service but after like 2000ks it feels lumpier and more lethargic. I guess this is to be expected but there is no harm in trying something else.
I am also having engine temp probs but i think they are fan related. Recently i drove from brisbane to hobart and within the first couple of hundred k's going over cunninghams gap i had to pull over to let the engine cool down. I think this is cooling fan related so i will make another topic though. |

From what I've been told Motul is number one with Penrite as number 2.
All the rest are crap. |

Penrite is crap. Lasts maybe half aslong in my car. 92 eb 3.9 with 200xxx. |
