Hi for last 5 days ive had this warning light come up on my xr that looks like a little bottle with a fan inside and a water line at the top. Now im guessing that this is my radiator level warning light or is it the coolant top up warning light telling me its too low? Now this is the first time its come on since ive had the car.

Either way i just had the it serviced last Wednesday and they didn't say anything about my radiator level being low. So ive topped up the coolant in the top up unit, buuuut the light is still coming on so should i directly fill the radiator or is the sensor being a s**t?

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Andrew

I recently had the same problem! It ended up being a faulty sensor in the coolant reservoir. You can change it yourself if you're keen... just a pair of long nosed pliers and turn anti-clockwise on the sensor (you can see what I mean), take out the old sensor and whack in the new one. You'll lose a lot of coolant though lol

Or an auto electrician / mechanic could probably do it in a heartbeat... which is what I did lol, he was already fixing other stuff so why not just fix that while you're there!

Hopefully this helps =)

okay ive bought the sensor so how exactly do i remove the old one and screw int he new one? And where is it? My guess is the side of the coolant bottle but im not 100% sure. I wish it would stop raining down here :-(
