Pacemaker extractors, redback or lukey catback and a high flow cat of some sort maybe Magnaflow?

Argh, what is it with people and these high flow cats.
WASTE OF MONEY.
If you wanna change your cat and feel good about it get a stock AU cat fro like 80 bucks from a wrecker.

As YTMONT said dont waste your money on a high flow cat. The stock ford ones are just fine

Did a lot of research myself on this subject and yesterday had fitted a complete Defilippo 2 1/2 inch system, with extractors, hi flow cat and mufflers.
No drone at all, but a nice new meaty sound
Was going to also put a custom Capa Flash Tune in at same time, but SVS had a software glitch with car being so new, so going back on Monday to do :)
Showed 161.4 rwkw on dyno run, after exhaust, so can't wait for final result with capa tune. 8-)
Complete system was $1699 fitted, and when you consider we're 4000 km's from Melbourne, so freight is a big deal, I think this was a great deal especially when SVS (guys doing the work in Cairns) are so knowledgeable and helpful. :D
Looks good, sounds great, and a very noticeable difference in drive feel. I'm happy :!:

just get a lukey set up from extractors to diff and dump it there, save the expense of the tailpipe and saves f**k that up again. also better flowing, but on the other hand illegal.
for a grand you should be able to get pacey comps, high flow cat and full luckey exhaust and crhome tip supplied and iftted, i know i managed to down here...

i perosnally wouldnt waste my money on a high flow cat due to the ford ones being fairly free flowing in stock form, but each to there own. i had a redback 2.5 catback on my old EL and i loved it, but yer if u got money for extractors seems as tho paccies r tho go these days or custom ones not that i think u;d get much more gain.

ON the old EB I got a set of genie extractors and 2.5 in mild steel sports exhaust fitted for $780. stainless woulda been nice but at time not enough coin. I love the genies, they dont cost what the pacemakers do and they sound very growly. I have holden nutjobs admiring the sound even! They say for a mild steel exhaust with extractors its the best sounding Ford they have heard.

Get some pacies and a 2.5" cat back, mandrel bent. thats all u need. get a hot dog and see how loud it gets, then if u want to silence it, add a muffler!

Hi-flow CATs do work, I modified a Zuna-Starker CAT so it is hi-flow, and works very well. It has 2&1/2" in and twin 2&1/4" out. The engine is bog std and I had to fit a piggy back ECU to tune it, because it ran too lean after that. Now its has heaps more go than before.

Pacey 4480 2 1/2" Cat hi-flow Lukey muffler and 2.5" pipes make sure its Mandrel bend. I Think thats a good system would set you back about 700-800.

I wont recommend my system :P not many ppl r fan of the 3" system but it sounds fukn meaty.
