how can I stop the water level dash light flashing ? even if I disconnect the float sensor it still flashes I have checked the sensor with an ohm meter it gives a 1.8 meg when level is O.K. :mrgreen:

If it's an EF coolant level warning system, anything over 2.5K ohm will cause it to flash. This is what the factory manual says:
Less than 70 ohm- Flash at 1Hz
Closed switch 180 ohm- Light Off
Open switch 1380 ohm- Light On
More than 2.5K ohm- Flash at 1Hz

If you fitted a resistor in the 150-200 ohm range across the contacts, it should stop the thing flashing provided we are talking EF system.
