Hey there,
I'm just wanting some advice on my water pump, as the pulley wobbles on idle. Is there a way of tightening the pulley or do i have to completely remove the pulley and place it back on. Or even the pulley's bearing might have gone. Another option im thinking is replacement of the water pump might be easier, I have posted some pics to show some poeple. Kindest Regards, Damian Attachment: Attachment:

I think you're looking at a water pump replacement. They're about $70 new. The pulleys are pressed on so it's probably a worn bearing that's causing the wobble. Is it leaking any coolant or making noise when running?

Alright, thanks for that guys.
No, there's no coolant leek. Probably heaps easier to just change the water pump. I read some of the other threads, and pretty much found what I need to do. Thanks heaps guys. Your legends. |

Alright, so i got the new water pump, fitted it and now comes putting the belt back on.
Now i didnt have to loosen the tensioner (which i dont know how to do anyways) to get the belt off the first time. Now i can't get the belt back on. I've got it running the right track, but needs a little less tensions to finish and fit properly, Can anyone help? Regards, Damian |

use a rachet 1/2 inch i belive it will fit into a square hole near the bottom of the belt tensioner then u litterally use the ratchet to pull the tensioner back
hope that helps

Put the belt over the water pump LAST. its the easiest way to do it as the pulley doesnt have ridges.

its a good idea to get a service manual like hynes/gregory's they have all the information to pull everything apart and get it back together
