Is it possible to get water in your oil due to a faulty water pump. My freinds XF(My old beast) had a faulty water pump and he somehow got water in his oil. I know and AU is a hell of alot different but is this possible with mine, as mine has a slow leak. Would i loose power due to this leak???. 1 more qustion to. Has any one got a doco on sercing an auto gearbox for an au???

You might have a cracked head, not so much a blown head gasket.More like a heat stressed crack in the head.Or a hole in your radiator letting auto oil into the cooling system. And for loss of power,i dont think you would loose power but you will increase the risk of more air into your cooling system which is bad creating air pockets where rust and cavitation can grow.Sometimes when you change your coolant you should always bleed it out to get all the air out.If not you go for a drive down the road and your temperature gauge will be in the hot area due to the build up of air in the cooling system. Thus in the end the cooling system cannot work efficiently.

When i put my foot down it lags quite a bit before it pics back up and sometimes it doesn't pick back up at all. Any suggestions?
