I put my car in a track/tuning day yesterday. During the first break, i popped the bonnet to let the car cool down and i found the dipstick hanging out.
Pushed it back in and drove away. Next break the dipstick was hanging out again. I gather this is the reason my car is losing oil. :S anyone know WHY its doing this and how i can stop it? THANKS car is a 1994 ED 6cyl. |

sounds like a leak down problem,( stuffed rings )
have a leak down test done & a compression test. comp will be down 4 sure. if so change the rings.

Crankcase pressure is blowing the dipstick out, you might have stuffed compression rings. A leakdown check will verify this.
Replace the PCV valve that goes into the rocker cover first. A failed PCV valve can also cause this. |

we did a compression test a while ago and the comp was ok. pretty average.
