I tryed that diagnostic thing n i cant figure it out with all the flashes n s**t.. even after reading the book on how to do it. Think i managed to get a 213 or 214 something like that anyway and it said it was the base idle speed iregular wot eva that means...

Anyway i disconected the oxy sensor today and it seems to me cured.. im using less fuel, idles better and i dont get that jerky feelin. So tomorra imma get a new oxy and wack it in there cause im sure it will run even better with one that actually works.. Oh and yeah i will test it once ive got it out.... Why didnt i just type a book

I'm having the exact same symptoms as mentioned here. Everyone here seems to be fixing different parts though. Can you keep us upto date with what has worked. I don't have much time to mess around with my engine anymore.

Update: the jerky feeling is 4 times worse when the transmission is in "Econ" mode.

mine turned out to be the oxy sensor.. unplug it and go for a lil drive see if its a little better. If it feels better replace the sensor around about $51 trade price

all righty. got it diag. the only 2 codes they pulled where for my a/c fan (it only works on full) and cam sensor out.
this last one worries me, though they say it can be caused by anything.
could the be the root cause of everyones problems ??

yea cam angle sensor is common problem in the ef's. the car will still run but occasionaly will sound likes its missfired. on the highway it will sorta surge, i used to just give mine a boot to 5grand when it did it and it would go away for an hour or so.

swapped over to new cam angle sensor and she hasnt missed a beat since!!

i think from memory was $70, mind you im sure that was a trade price, i also got a oxy sensor too.

the work was done by my girlfriends dad who owns a workshop here thats why i suspect it being at trade price. didnt get charged any labour and he had the car for like 4 - 5 days in total testing it on and off the dyno, and diagnostics tests.
