Hey mate,
I used to have an EF 6 cyl auto & fitted a Stage 2 crow cam & Unichip & was running a full exhaust system with extractors. I managed to get 150hp at the rear wheels. It wasn't that quick off the line however when it got to about 2000rpm it took off like a rocket. For installation, parts & tuning all up it cost me about $3,500. Make sure you get the vernier cam gear to suit. Hope this helps! |

Based on a 25% driveline loss through the manual. Have you had it on the track yet? |

117rwkw is about the same or little more then a AU VCT XR6 so i think it would of been a little bit off

i know 2 guys running the 2549 crow cam in ef and el and they consistly in the mid 14's, i would go with that cam, it needs a chip to run it.

Hey,
It was part no. 2222519 (mild peformance cam). I did mean 150hp at the rear wheels. For some reason the tuning shop only worked in hp and not kw. I'm sure someone would be able to convert to kw. |

150hp is 112kw, i really think you would of got 150rwkw with the mods you had

well thats so close to stock power its not funny. Go see wade cams for an AU equivalant to the 1673. Then change your diff gears or fit a high stall to make the power more useful

mate wade can grind any cam for you, just gotta tell them what you want.
You would need an 'AU' spec cam but essentially its not for an AU cause you got EL ecu management Also CMS do a cam for the AU head i think "We have not had much success with the AU cams. We believe the AU ECU is to blame. It has, however, been suggested to me that the EL hybrid engine has an E series ECU. I cannot confirm if this is true or not. If it does run the E series ECU, l don't see any problem in doing the cam. The profiles that apply to the E series cams don't apply to the AU. The AU has a different rocker ratio to the E series. As an example, the 977B has a valve lift on the E series of 0.512". Applied to the AU, it drops to 0.461". |

Have you had it on the track yet? a very generous dyno there mate, although depending on what was done to the head and exhaust valves especially, it may be close as the ea had a very restricted flow rate out of the head! Give Joe at CMS a call Gezza, he has the best cams going for the E series 6's, no need for a chip either, totally ecu friendly. There's a lot of happy monsters in the CMS stable to back it up with results as well. will be picking up a new head on saturday hopefully, will be a Joe Custom based on his stage 2 with some differences, cant wait |
