Felony, you really gotta start putting more detail into your posts mate. From what ive read in other threads, you're not looking at turbo?

You could probably get away with a unichip... but then, its so hard to tell when all you give us is a rwkw figure. 200rwkw is going to be a monster of an engine - check out Waggin's.

Pretty much any ECU on this page, some will give you more control of the engine that others but they should all be up to the naturally aspirated task.

Well ok, the plans i have at this stage are, block bored 40 thou with some decent slugs, speedpro rings, decked slightly, possibly o ringed as it will be getting a shot of nos, decent bearings, arp rod bolts, rods will be machined, fluxed, strengthened etc, crank machined if need be, whole bottom end balanced and blue printed, as for up top, its copping a tickford head thats shaved and ported, stronger spec springs than standard xr6 as i will be running a cam such as a 1521 or the like, and ontop of that i will be finishing off with a 100-150hp shot of nos...
cheers

Hi felony

just a thought MegaSquirt seems it will be not a bad option

dont bother with a unichip seems like you will be revving this higher than the factory rev limiter allows and secondly seems you said you will be experimenting with this engine and every time you make a change you will have to run back to a unichip agent who are the only guys with there own interface box to a laptop not sold with the unit when you purchase the unit mmmmmmmmmmmm    :?: :?: :?:

Haltech E6X and 3D Wolf V4 are a few ECU's worth considering if your going to be experimenting datalogging is something you should consider so you may have to consider the next level of ECU's

Me and another guy are in the process of buying a aftermarket ECU maybe get a few of us and do a bulk buy to get a group discount

Just a thought

cya

PS: what compression are you intending to run ??

Yep then ems stinger...
Microtech...
Try and get one with 6 injector drivers or you could run 3 X's 2 batch injection..Up to EL they are 2 x's 3 ....Atleast 3 x's 2 is closer to sequential injection...Thats two injectors driving at once, using three injector drivers..Std have two drivers on three at a time...

Yeah check out the features of each ECU, get one with good NOS control so that it can adjust the tuning when you use NOS. Eg. Haltech, EMS and Motec.
Haltech would be my pick. The stinger and 8860 is a bit crude IMO. Motec is good but expensive.

Yeah good point there... look for 6 inj drives so that if you use fairly large injectors you will still be able to tune a nice stock smooth idle. Mine runs 2x3 with 55lb injectors so its a bit lumpy and has taken me ages to get a decent smooth idle in drive AND park

Yeh, I'm running full 6 cyl sequential injection with the motec.. even with 30lb injectors she idles VERY smooth. No real gains to be had at WOT though..

30 Lb is nothing...Over 50 Lb or so you have to go low impedance, so injector driver has to be set up differant...EMS 8860 can control 880cc [approx 85Lb] injectors on a 2.7 ltr V6 Mazda turbo...
For V8 even with Motec its the top end system thats fully sequentail..The E11 is at half the cost...
