i was looking for an exhaust system, something good and came accross this company called D&T performance the inquiry i got was as follows:
headers $490.00 fitted
mild steel 2.5' performannce system from cat to rear $510.00
stainless system $950.00
power inncrease 15 kw at rear wheels

is this a decent deal or can i get something cheaper that will do the same output or higher?

I've got a 2 1/4 inch mild steel exhaust fitted professionally at Midas in Blackburn with a 12 month warranty for $400. You havent specified the manufacturer on your quote but my exhaust is a Redback.

These are off the shelf systems designed specifically for your car, in my case an EL Falcon. Point im making is that the suppliers have tested different pipes for power increase, economy and tone till they get it right, then mass produce.

Theres a store on Ebay called Online Performance, there situated in Cheltenham, they sell the Redback packages at wholesale prices but no fitting. I've also seen Pacemaker extractors for a car like mine for $340.

Just shop around a bit, your bound to find a good deal. Good Luck!!!

so pretty much they make it their self.. my mate swears by them and only will get exhaust systems from there... but cost wise i think its a tad to much.

Yeah the actual exhuast is a bit pricey, headers not too bad.
My 2.5" Redback system was $260, and that's a mandrel bent mild steel setup.

Contact Mr Landau and get his opinion of them before you give them your dough.
I've gotten 2.5 in stainless with lukey ultra flo stainless muffler for $460 through Carline's and that was fitted
There may be differences in thickness and quality of the pipes with certain suppliers

It came up in another thread that Mr Landau might be a good place to talk to about exhausts. Why is this so?
