Hi Guys,

Im looking at buying a ex police Ba xt at the auctions and was wondering what a police pack contains on a ba xt i6 auto. And how to identify them by the compilance plate.

I thought they would be better equipped in terms of perormance mods than a standard ba xt and they are selling for the same price at the auctions.Does anyone on this site own and if so do they go any better than a standard ba xt?[/b]

I think the only mods are they are slightly lowered and chipped. You would be better going for a fleet car as it probably hasn't been thrashed like the cop car probably has. How much are the ones you looking at? my xt went for 12,900.

as far as i know due to cost cutting they stopped chipping police cars years ago thats why highway patrol cars are xr8's or ss commo or wrx for which ever state ya live in. my step dad use to work in a small town and cos they never used their shotgun (hes a copper) for years and years they were going to take it from them but think hw much would it cost them to have a shotgun that doesnt get used????

due to insurance reasons most police vehicles are the top line sport version of the falcon and commode and other known brands.

they don't change much at all these days.

i was so fooled last week!

Pulling into the servo i saw a light green BA XT falcon, hubcaps off (black interceptors) and dumped on its nuts (thinking it was a P-Plate driver)....whilst filling up fuel i see 2 police officers getting out of the car and another 2 sitting in the back! whilst walking by i take a quick glimps inside and see that all the usual police radio equipment is intact.

See how they have began to "blend in" with us? :(
