Hey all, im in the middle of changing the head gasket on my 98 el i6. Just thinking what else should i change while the head is out.
My list so far is:
Drive belt
Spark plug leads
Thermostat

Anything else should i replace?

i dont have deep pockets at the moment so as mush as it is tempting, ive have to hold back of those.

Will add new timing kit to the list as according to another of your posts the timing cover is coming off :wink:

Cheers for that hahaha.. not looking forward to it. Was ssuppost to sell the car next year but doesnt look like that way anymore.

should i replace the dizzy cap while its easy to get to?

rotor, dizzy cap, hylomar, top + bottom radiator hose maybe and while your at it, chekc the heater tap, these tend to bugger up commonly, and leak water
