umm u would still have to be engineered to fit a 2jz gte (2.5 twin turbo) umm why not go v8 if that model come out with a v8 in it all u need to do is fit v8 running gear and brake ....then get it licenced....no engineering is needed (in wa neway) or if u wanted to stay with the 6 banger use one out of a xd/ef(250 x-flo) but if u wanted to step up a notch use a xr6t but have fun geting it over the pit's

No the XL falcon never came out with a V8....the first aussie falcon to get the V8 were the XR GT's. Perhaps the american falcons go the V8, but thats useless to your cause.
So throwing in a V8 will require a engineers cert. and brake upgrade etc. ive seen several XM/XP's with the 250 X-flows in them but im still pretty sure you will need an engineers cert. for that as well. hope that helps |

Engine bay in an XL is not what I would call massive by any means. |

Engine bay wouldnt be anywhere near high enough for it to fit any OHC Falcon 6 cyl engines. (without a decent hole in the bonnet)
They've also got those factory 'strut' bars that would restrict many engines.
