Nothing but BP Ultimate gets near the tank of both my XR8 and my brothers S/C XR6 Ute.

I've never noticed any difference between any of the brands, Maybe because being a dedicated LPG engine the ECU adjusts for it, i don't know? I did have trouble with my old EA in WA it hated all the LPG over there.

Generally the cheapest too, but I know from experience that my car runs a pinch smoother and gets a wee bit more mileage out of a tank on premium.

Shell V-Power or BP Ultimate, car seems to like these, although I've never tried anything else in it

Only V-Power if I can help it.
My car does not run on e10. Aka. Dosnt start. And uses regular like its a cold beer on a sunny friday avre. Altho shell 95ron is ok. I usuallt go 50$ and see how far I get. With vpower its 250ks+. Seem to be getting closer to 270now after using vpower for a few months. If I was to put ultimate or vortex in I could see that drop to 230 quite easily. Vpower ftw. |

caltex E10, or standard 91, if i run caltex 95 or 98 it runs like crap 95 its bad and 98 is worse but i think its because the station im filling up at has a problem , i find shell 95 and v power is definatly the go ive never had a problem with it

Car has been running on V-power for a long time...for the first time last week I filled the tank up with Vortex and it runs just as well. Only got Vortex to try it out and had a discount voucher...couldn't say no to 124c for premium.

He does a lot of Land Rovers. Thankfully Being an 89 patrol I don't need to use an emissions certified kit, So i won't be needing the like of D-gas or DGA and the price that goes with them. I have a pretty basic and effective system that uses a small complex mixer and spud type mixer. |

Seems as though you have a problem there That's about spot on to what my AU XR6 was like as well. My AU V8 is about the same too. That works out to be about 14L/100km...that's a fair bit of fuel consumption...all metro? I drive metro and highway with the occasional spirited acceleration to speed limit and get 11L/100km. I had only seen 14L/100km when I have about 400kg in tow.

I've tried the E10 in my '95 ute(OutbBack Pak),and with both tanks filled right up(126 litres and car in good tune),I can just manage to squeeze around the 645klm mark out of it.If I use normal unleaded(to be phased out by April next year, thanks Greenies!),I can get around at least 750 klms of normal driving;eg. around town and open road. And I notice the power drop as well. Both my vintage cars(1928 Chev truck & 1929 Oldsmobile Sedan)absolutely hate E10,as their manifolding has air and mixture preheating systems on both, and the E10 always begins to vaporise even on just warm days.So I'll be sticking to normal unleaded until I have to buy premium.
Cheers, Kev. |

i always buy premium ive tried unleaded on the NF and its L/100Km went through the roof and it lost alot of power it really doesnt like it the unleaded at all not sure why the difference it makes its tremendous about 3.2L/100km difference i havent tried E10 but from what ive heard it done to dads BF it lost almost all power apparently had serious picking up and going trouble on E10 so im not going to try it on the NF
Ive Noticed Different Stations Give U Different Fuels Sometimes ill Get Some Bad 98 Sometimes its great so i tend to always visit the same station never have trouble then
