just got pacemakers and wondering what gasket to put on or do i put on the stock one?

Go to repco or bursons and ask for a high flow exhaust manifold gasket. Make sure they dont give you a standard one.

Go to your friendly after market store eg: Bursons, Supercheap, Autobahn etc. Buy a proper extractor gasket and use it.

I use the genuine Ford stainless steel exhaust manifold gasket. Have done for years, and no leaks.

Gasket is required for best seal...I am certain extractors are not perfectly straight, so there won't be a good seal...if any, unless you tighten the bolts so much that the extractors start to dig into the head...which I think would be a stupid idea. Bolt thread would strip the head before then anyway. Just get a gasket from your local auto shop

(maybe not on the inline sixes, but some cars with soft alloy heads you can screw them too tight and burst a waterjacket..) |
