apparently acl do a 1.5mm copper head gasket that helps decompress the engine... but the turbo guys will fill u in more on this

i tryed the copper acl 1.6mm gasket, it didnt seal at all lol. i dont think it any good unless u have o rings. brendan mock told me to use 2 au steel gaskets, so i did and i havent had any trouble since

the 10 second white EA runs twin AU headgaskets, you'd prolly just have to find out what torque to do them up to as i'm not sure if it'd be the same as normally used on the AU gasket.

it should be no different. you do the bolts as per specs of the bolt not for gasket |

i was under the impression the specs were as per the gasket specifications, hence the different torque specs for the pre AU gasket compared to those of the AU tripple layer gasket.

there was a difrent torque. but it wasnt because of the au gaskets its just a turbo thing to stop them blowing

considering the bolts are torque to yeild there would be no point in trying to do them up more |

so is the 2 au headgaskets a reliable setup with moderate boost?

yeah i've heard the same thing... just 2 AU metal gaskets will do the job

stock one will also do fine as long as you dont go nuts with the boost and your tune ( fuel AR and timing ) is spot on.
Mines still using the stock HG and with a very good tune and 15psi, its doing well |

The ten second EA doesnt use factory torque settings, but wont let you know what torque they do use!

wont 2 head gaskets mean more leakage?

it must raise the chance, but it also drops comp so you can run higher boost... 20psi maybe depending on pistons
