and no mine wasnt strapped down. Not really much point, it aint going to be driving off the rollers with the power levels im running. The difference between strapping down and not is bugger all. There is *slightly* less friction because the wheels are not touching both rollers, but even that is partially offset because the wheel is being pushed twice as hard into the front roller.

I recorded 6-7 rwkw difference by not strapping a car down on dyno dynamic dyno. My car could not be done in 3rd gear on the same dyno for fear of it coming off the rollers. It wasnt the power but the thing kicked down hard and wanted to come off the rollers.Eventually the run as done in 2 nd gear and ended up with 147 rwkws.

What was your tyre pressure when this happened?

low tyre pressure will cause you to lose power on the dyno, especially when the car is strapped down hard.

Strapping is a good idea, but I still have never seen a ~150rwkw car look like it wanted to jump the dyno.

mine never looks close to comming lose - http://users.on.net/~jasiunas/stockstan ... e_0002.wmv

hi

heres some really quick fords

quoted fron another site

Chuck Samuel has been unstoppable this year with Kevin Marsh's '01 Mustang GT. The turbocharged Mustang collected its third FFW victory, as well as the win at WFC this season. At Englishtown, Samuel beat Ben Hopko in the first round and then took out Joe DaSilva in the finals. The W came by way of great driving as Samuel drilled the Tree and won on a holeshot, 6.63 to DaSilva's 6.61. Samuel got lucky in the first round when his car stalled on the starting line. Hance went red handing him the automatic victory.

I think he meant ford inline 6 engine. Not 6 second pass.

I think its in the 10.20's. A couple of the turbo LPG boys are in the low 10.20's. The petrol boys are making more power on the dyno but don't seem to be putting it to the tarmac all that well.

some of the guys in the USA are making unbelieveable horsepower out of the turbo and supercharge V8's

LOL i know i said V8's in the inline 6 section dont know if the USA people have 6 cylinder cars cause there jkfhvrsi;bkuh fuel is still cheap as compared to us guys here in australia

They don't have straight 6 engines over there. Its all V6, V8 and inline 4. Only Japan, Germany and Australia produce inline 6's, and japan have given up cause they can't get the old RB to burn clean enough.

I've got every video from fullboost from the last 2 or so years. I lost the pair of vids that had the XE ESP with the AU 4.0 turbo on gas pulling a traction limited (this thing would fry the tyres as soon as it got onto boost all the way down the track) 10.43 at 130 odd mph. www.xfalcon.com managed to salvage some of the older vids of gas turbo falcons but these 2 vids are the cream of the crop for forced induction fords.
