id say the brand new GT40 would be a pretty decent drive.

GT my boy, GT, lol. Some F**k wanted a stupid amount of money for the GT40 nameplate (that Ford lost, can't remember how).

Your right, GT40's havn't been made by Ford since the very late 60's. The new ones are just called GT's, why? 2 reasons, 1. there actually 41"'s off the ground and so were almost called GT41 (which I think they should of done), and 2. a British company that makes GT40 replicas holds the rights to the GT40 name now!

r34 v spec, fast, great handling, comfy (not that i would know any of this from experience)

come on guys, he's not after an oppinion on his gen3. he actually admitted that for an everyday driver his el is better. piston slap is a thing of the past. hows the head gaskets on the ef/l six. all cars have their probs.

Hey

As you guys know I have a 242rwkw GEN3. It really hammers....

I took dads EL Ghia out for a spin over the weekend (my old car)

I have to say the EL with the mods as per below is a bloody sensational car. No doubt in my mind the GEN3 will beat it in a straight line but the EL has more than enough punch, is so so comfortable and responsive, just a treat and pleasure to drive. I really love driving it.

I goota say that as an everyday driver, the ghia is the better drive, the GEN3 is a hoon mobile on a sunday arvo.

Which ford model or any other car do you think is the best all round drive?? state mods as well if you feel they are essential. For mine the EL ghia with mods per below is a 10/10 drive.

Best Ford model I've ever driven would have to be the BA XR6T. Handling, ride, steering, grunt, everything is better than any other Ford I've been in.

On the Commie side of things, the parents old VX cop pack would have to be the best Commie I've ever driven (which includes various 5 litres and all V6 models ever)

ef 5 speed.... more then enough fun for me

May have to agree with Chunkz here, my EF XR6 5 speed is great.
Most definatly get pumped by a car with big $$$ spent, but its quick and reliable for what it is.
