max for any car made after november '83 is 90dB, before 96dB.

taking off your whole exhaust system is gonna put you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the limit.

im pretty sure the end of your exhaust has to extend beyond the body of the car aswell.

i say stuff em, my car is only SLIGHTLY over niose.

but as said 92db is the law (yeah right meh to that), but running no exhaust is not a good idea for everyday. youll get a nice new yellow sticker very quick.

just get a 2.5 single muffler system, will still be over legal, but much less so

Yeh ACT/NSW is post '83' model cars must be 90db or under....I have the standard EF XR6 2.5" system and after removing the rear muffler and adding a straight thru pipe...(Still standard exit point) it was over by 4db which is actually quite a lot.

Have an engineer going over my car for a few things and this is one of them that I have to correct for him to sign my car n all the mods off.

from what i was told by my exhaust guy, pretty much any modification to a BA exhaust puts it over, so i'm guessing i'm a fair way over but if you don't drive like an idiot then theres no point in a cop pulling you over.

i think if your going just run a manifold or extractors nothing else it will make alot of noise but not much else .you actually need some backpressure.

i think :?:
