Ok tell me if this is what i should do to make sure its all good.

I'll drive around till my car reaches its normal temp, put handbrake up put it in drive , open bonet and tune the revs to be between 500-750.

Would this sound ok to do ?

Personally i wouldnt leave the car in D. That's putting a lot of faith in your handbrake.

Best to adjust idle when in N/P and then see what it drops to in D - adjust accordingly.

Either that or have someone else hold down the foot brake whilst its in drive.

Make sure that the throttle plate doesn't bash against the internal port of the throttle body. That's part of the reason that screw is there :)

If i'm reading him correctly he means to make sure the the throttle butterfly isn't hitting on the inside of the throttle body. Take inlet pipe of and look inside.

Lash out and buy yourself a gregorys manual and read the bit on adjusting the base idle and remember to hold your tongue right when u do it.
