They look like the pipe connectors that connect the metal pipes going into the heater box.
Is the second one under the Washer bottle? if so, it is defiently for the heater box hoses, be careful when you undo them as some crap can come out of it and you may smell something Sorry if i couldnt be of any more help

I believe that is the TX valve (or Thermal Expansion valve) for the A/C. It goes near the firewall, where the A/C lines come out of the firewall.
Dont mix them up between models, they are different. If it doesnt fit neatly, dont force it. Better yet, leave it loose, and ask the A/C guy to make sure it is sealed before he gasses the system.

You are holding the air con pipes not a wiring conector.
What are you actualy trying to do. You have been told the valves are not compatable between models. |

im trying to convert to climate control...(i have normate at the moment in my eb)
i have taken all the componets out of a na fairlane....i just noticed today as i took the heater box out of tha fairlane that this part was different..... my first question was....What is this?? my second question was...where do the wires go that connect to it.... the failane one..(top pic) has three wires coming from it....(not shown as i have disconnected it) the eb one is still connected but only has two wires... i understand that people may not know where the wires go so that is why i was asking if it was called by another name as i have been through three different wiring diagrams and none say "Thermal Expansion valve". so now my question is.....is it called another name other then Thermal Expansion valve or txv?? and/or does anyone know where the wires that connect to it go??? |

Its called a TX pressure switch. One wire goes to air con clutch and the other to a relay.
You will need to cross reference the climate control wiring diagrams from each model. If your car had air i would assume most of it is already there. |
